Experience in relocation?
Born and raised in England. Mother to three trilingual children, two born in France and one in Portugal.
Having lived in 5 countries with my family, I have first hand knowledge in family relocation to Australia, France, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.
How about school curricula?
With several moves abroad with my family, all my children have benefited from attending a variety of schools.
Continuing their education in the same curricula was not always possible or the best option. Considering the full academic, social and holistic education, we chose the school that suited our child and our family best at the time.
This has included diverse school curricula such as Cambridge, French, International Baccalaureate & progressive schools (Waldorf & Forest school pedagogy).
My three children are currently in different school sections: primary, secondary and college, I can provide guidance in schooling years from preschool to university.
Since 2005 in Portugal
Investing in Portuguese property since 2007 whilst working as remote worker, I was fortunate to be able to spend several months of the year here.
With little support at this time for expats working remotely, it was a challenge to find information on bilingual schools, English speaking activities and services. To help other families moving to Cascais, a new lifestyle site The Salty Vida, was created in 2018 that would be facing similar problems arriving to Portugal. This included our popular 'yellow pages' for the Greater Lisbon area for business, personal and family use, including international, bilingual and Portuguese private schools and English speaking services.
This led to the birth of 'Cascais Consulting' in 2020.
